In the spirit of being in line with good fish farming and love for the sport of fishing, Castilla-La Mancha has its own Fishing Federation.
It is of a private nature and was founded without profit objectives and only always seeking to promote and organize within the territory of the Autonomous Community everything related to compliance with the regulations and rules of fishing in its various modalities.
Functions of the Fishing Federation of Castilla-La Mancha (FPCLM)
Among the functions that this body considers within its regulations are the following, expressed roughly:
- As the governing body, it is responsible for the administration and management of the region's sport fishing modality, as well as ensuring compliance with the corresponding rules.
- Among its functions is also to represent the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha in all activities related to sports competitions either within the national territory as well as outside of Spain.
- Organize and watch over national and international sporting events and competitions that take place within the territory of the La Mancha community.
- Act as a guardianship body in said sports competitions.
- Ensure all the rules and statutes of a sporting nature.
- Collaborate in the training of sports technicians of the fishing activity.
- Issue the respective sports and related licenses for everyone who participates in the activity within the corresponding territory.
- Carry out any activity that guarantees the protection of all fishing species, seeking the conservation of the environment as well as the continuation of sports practice.
General disposition
Some aspects that the regulations cover and that it is necessary to consider are the following:
- To be a member of the Federation, it is necessary, above all, to be an athlete who practices fishing. Then you must belong to one of the clubs recognized by the Federation.
- The clubs may be admitted to the FPCLM when they demonstrate that their purpose is the promotion and practice of the fishing activity.
- In addition, these clubs must fully comply with all the duties and rights established by the Federation itself.
- club rights: participate in the Federation's election processes; opportunity to participate in competitions or leagues.
- Club Duties: be registered in the register of sports associations of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha; demand and process the respective fishing license from its members and make the respective payment of fees to the Federation.
Some recommendations and observations of the Federation
In favor of environmental conservation and good fishing practice, the Federation regulates and recommends:
- Always carry the respective fishing permit and show it to the authorities when they request it.
- Caring for the environment against its destruction, water pollution, waste collection and uncontrolled fishing outside regulations.
- Take care not to light a fire under any circumstances.
- Maintain proper and safe behavior in night fishing areas
- Always respect the closed, catch and release and other related orders for the conservation of species and sports practice.
