Maritime Fishing License Cantabria
The maritime fishing license in Cantabria can practice fishing from the coast or from a boat and also underwater fishing. We explain everything to be able to get these licenses.
1st Class – Recreational maritime fishing license from shore or boat:
To obtain this license, all you have to do is apply and pay the fees. The applicant must be over 16 years old and in the case of being 14 years old you will need an authorization from your legal guardian.
They have one validity of 5 years.
2nd Class – Underwater maritime fishing license:
This license currently can only be taken in person. We recommend that you do it in person or call 012 (citizen service telephone number)
The requirements to obtain this license are:
- Be over 16 years old.
- Official medical certificate of fitness to practice this sport.
- Accident and civil liability insurance, which covers the risks that the license holder may incur against a third party, during its validity period.

The fishing license Cantabria are issued in person at the offices of the Territorial Environment Service of Cantabria.
