Fun fishing with magnets

It doesn't take much to make this rod and start the fun. There are several ways to undertake this project, but here we propose the following:

Materials

  • Washers
  • rope or ribbons
  • Felt and colored cardboard
  • Magnets
  • Padding material or cotton
  • Needle and thread in case of making them stuffed
  • Fish models or templates
  • Wacky or moving eyes
  • long craft sticks
  • Pencil and markers
  • Hot silicone

Processing of the fish

  1. The first thing we need to do is take the template of the fish you want in your game.
  2. If you are skilled at drawing, make the drawing directly on a colored cardboard or on the felt, this using the pencil.
  3. You can give details to your fish (scales, points and others) with the use of markers
  4. Don't forget to make the extra parts of each animal in cardboard or felt: fins, legs, pincers or others.
  5. If you are going to stuff your felt fish, you should cut out both parts of the fish.
  6. For stuffed fish, both parts should be cooked and the stuffing made.
  7. Place the details of fins, legs and other elements.
  8. Locate the movable eyes (crazy eyes). If you don't have it on hand, make the detail with fine tip markers.
  9. Place either the washers or the magnets on each figure, using the silicone to fix each magnet. You can do this on top of fills and on one side of flats.

Cane processing

  1. Cut pieces of string or ribbon.
  2. Knot the strings or ribbons to the sticks and fix with hot silicone.
  3. Cut two felt circles for each cane.
  4. Attach one end to the rope.
  5. Stick a piece of magnet to this circle.
  6. Cover this magnet with another piece of felt.

game tips

One of the best options is create a seabed scenery either in a box or fish tank to locate your fish and other marine animals.

You can decorate the same with oceanic elements, algae, corals and others to give a more striking environment. If you use a box, it will be fun not being able to see what is being fished.

You can also increase the fun awarding points to each type of fished animal, this will allow you to vary the activity and you will be able to incorporate a competitive and sum element to the activity.

You can always add smaller or larger fish and ask each guy to talk about the species he has caught.
