The fashion of fishing with plastic bottles has been imposed in many areas of the world. More than a fishing it is a capture method that allows the fisherman to get hold of a piece as if it were a retel.
For some, this is more of a survival method or even entertainment for children than a fishing practice itself. But either way, what matters is have bottles that allow the capture of the fish.

The modality can vary from person to person but basically what is needed is to have plastic bottles and prepare them so that the fish can enter them.
What needs to be done initially is get the bottles to use, in addition to other materials. It is recommended to use 5L bottles of water or the most voluminous that you can find but that are comfortable to handle, cut and prepare.

Crafting the fishing trap
- A cut is made from the upper part of the bottle, that is to say from its peak, a few centimeters below where the neck joins the body of the bottle.
- This cut end is then turned towards the inside of the bottle. In this way the neck of the bottle will be inside the body of the bottle.
- Pin both sections. Paracord can be used for this.
- Several cuts must be made in what will be the bottom and sides of the trap, so that the water penetrates and the material can sink.
- A string must be attached that will act as a support rope that we must then tie to a branch or other object to fix it to a certain space.
- Just as you would a crab trap, a block or stone should be attached to it so that the unit can sink and stay on the bottom.
- Bait can be incorporated into the bottle to attract fish.
How do we look at a method? quite simple to make. now just enough locate the fishing area and leave it for a few hours. Then it must be reviewed and it must be verified whether or not it has been successful in fishing.
