The eel is one of the most mysterious but very particular fish for fishing. Let us remember that, in Spain, certain communities maintain a restriction on eel fishing which limits anglers of all kinds from getting hold of these specimens.
However, sport and recreational fishing is allowed, this in the season that can go from November to March. Of course, each community must be reviewed to verify the capture regime and the gear.
The presence of eels in the peninsula is widespread, since we can get it in different spaces as in the Orio River (Basque Country), along the Guadalquivir, towards Galicia in the Mino River or in the Ebro Delta itself.

In one of the most used modalities for fishing this species. To do this effectively, we must follow the following steps:
- Locate ourselves in the currents of the rivers.
- Use a rod with a line between 0,30 and 0,50 and the hook with bait.
- You can choose to make a line bass with a simpler line, linked to the main line by a turnstile.
- Using a lead on the main line
