Who gets the fishing license for free in Andalusia?

People over 65: license is free for the maximum period. You just need to apply for it.

What is the NIR (and why you need it first)

The NIR is the Registration Number of the Andalusian Register of Hunting and Continental Fishing. Since 2024, it replaces the old exam: first you register in the register and you get your NIR (usually takes 2-3 days), and with that NIR you can obtain the license. It is free and done only once.

How to obtain the fishing license in Andalusia

⚠️ In Andalusia, to have the continental license you need a liability insurance for fishermen in force. Many federative licenses already include it, or you can contract it separately. Have it ready before processing (it will be requested when obtaining it).
